This goes with the philosophy and concept of the academia • dental: Unique dental technology with a high aesthetic demand. What has already established itself through the years in the field of combination and milling technique is now to be continued in the ambitious new course concept: Aesthetic solutions on implants. Whereas so far mainly the removable solution has been taught, in this new concept the focus is on fixed solutions. The challenge for the course instructor is to put into practice natural aesthetics as well as precise function. A sophisticated dental situation is to be provided with aesthetic components. Complex construction elements help to create a functional connection between prosthetics and implants. Further topics are morphology and articulation, wax-up technique, frame design, ceramic veneering and much more.

The exemplary model situation in the maxilla shows many different methods and results. Here, it is important to integrate superstructural parts and individual elements with manual skill. The result is a modern construction with a lot of interesting detailed solutions:

• An implant-supported full ceramic bridge on zircon abutments in the front – the zircon frame made by BEGO Medical in CAD/CAM procedure is veneered with individual layer technique.
• Functional press-to-metal ceramic on conventional frame in the lateral teeth area – a secondarily screwed bridge as connection between natural tooth and implant.
• An implant-supported single crown made with BeCe PRESS on Wirobond® MI abutment – pressed in a reduced state and completed with effect masses.
• Occlusally screw-retained single crowns made with sub-tec universal abutment – individually bonded superstructure with aesthetic BeCe PRESS veneering.

The successful concept and the particular philosophy of BEGO’s International School academia • dental are implemented in the internationally oriented courses that are offered in different languages. The academia • dental has set itself the target to offer training at the highest educational level. Its content is oriented to the German Master Dental Technician Schools’ standard.

Successful participation is confirmed by a representative final certificate. Requirement for this is a minimum stay of four weeks. The alumni programme for former academia • dental participants offers the unique opportunity to do further studies and to keep in touch with the academia • dental.
